XM3 - Rum for Samtidskunst

XM3 – space for contemporary art is a non-profit artist-driven exhibition space and cultural platform with a vision to promote new and experimental contemporary art.

XM3 aims to focus on both local contemporary artists and engage in dialogue with the art scene from outside.

The exhibition space has its physical premises and permanent location in Aalborg Øst. XM3 plans to organize and curate 8-12 exhibitions annually.

XM3 was founded by artist Mikael Madsen, who graduated from the Jutland Academy of Art in 2008. Madsen grew up in Northern Jutland, where he has lived for many years and been an active part of the Aalborg art scene, including the artist workshop Kildevæld, which later became Nordjyllands Kunstnerværksted, and the artist-run gallery Kildevæld.
