Koutrupgård Shelter Site

Shelter site with 3 shelters near the Ancient Road and the Gudenåen Springs

Koutrupgård Shelter site with room for approx. 25 people is located in a disused gravel pit 200m from the Ancient Road and 500m from Nature Center Koutrupgård. It is 1.5 km to the springs of Gudenå and Skjernåen and 2 km to Tinnet Krat and Rørbæk Lake.

The shelter site is furnished with 3 shelters around a fire pit. There is access to a multi-purpose toilet – bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want to be sure of dry wood, you must bring your own, but otherwise you are allowed to gather wood from the forest floor for use on the fire pit. Water can be collected at Koutrupgård, where there is also access to public toilets with showers.

The shelter site is reserved for larger groups in connection with special types of events, such as school, sports or scout events, camps based on a given denomination etc. (minimum 15 people) and must be booked directly via the "Book here" button or via the Danish Nature Agency's booking system. Please note that your booking will be cancelled if you have not arrived at the site by 20:00.

If no one has booked the place, however, it is available to anyone who wants to settle down for a shorter or longer time.
